The Eastwood School Cabinet: Leading with Purpose, Serving with Pride
At Eastwood, leadership is not seen merely as a position of honour; it is understood as a responsibility. Every year, through the Investiture Ceremony, our Honourable Principal appoints a new School Cabinet, entrusting a group of promising young Eastwoodians with the privilege of representing and serving their school community.
The Cabinet comprises students who lead from the front and stand firmly behind every endeavour the school undertakes. Whether it is a school event, a ceremony, an assembly, a competition or any other initiative, these young leaders are always ready to step forward. Their tireless support, commitment and willingness to take responsibility often play an important role in ensuring that every undertaking is carried out smoothly and successfully.
Yet, their leadership extends far beyond badges and titles. Our Cabinet members are often seen guiding younger students, helping them feel included, maintaining discipline with sensitivity and stepping in wherever they are needed. They learn that true leadership is not about being above others, but about being there for others.
What makes us especially proud is the dedication with which these students balance their many responsibilities with their academic commitments. Always on their toes, they manage rehearsals, duties, meetings and school responsibilities while continuing to work towards their own goals in the classroom. Through this journey, they develop qualities that will serve them well far beyond school—confidence, accountability, teamwork, resilience and the ability to lead with empathy.
The Investiture Ceremony marks the beginning of this journey, as our student leaders formally take on their responsibilities with pride and promise to uphold the values of Eastwood. It is a moment of great pride not only for the students and their families, but for the entire school.
We are immensely proud of our young Eastwoodians who wear their responsibilities with sincerity and their school colours with pride. Through their energy, generosity and commitment to service, they remind us that leadership is at its finest when it is driven by purpose—and when the desire to shine is accompanied by the willingness to help others shine too.
